This porcelain owl figurine was produced by W. Goebel in 1969 in West Germany and is associated with the Hummel tradition of finely modelled ceramic animal figures. Identified as model CV99, the piece depicts a perched owl resting on a stylised tree stump, a design reflecting Goebel’s naturalistic wildlife studies from the mid-20th century.

The figure is made of hand-decorated porcelain with a predominantly matte finish, enhanced by subtle glazing on the eyes and beak. The feather detailing is carefully layered in brown and ochre tones, giving depth and texture to the sculpted surface.
