This vintage Goebel Hummel long-tailed tit bird figurine was produced in Germany and is marked on the base with the Goebel W. Germany stamp and “Schwanzmeise / Long-tailed Tit / Mésange à longue queue,” confirming its subject and origin. The model number is impressed on the underside.

The figurine depicts two long-tailed tits perched together on a stylised leafy base. The porcelain is hand painted with layered colour detailing in shades of black, white, and subtle reddish-brown tones on the wings and body, while the base is finished in soft green and cream. The modelling highlights the natural stance and proportion of the birds with fine feather and facial detailing typical of Goebel’s wildlife series.

Goebel, founded in 1871 in Germany, became recognised internationally for its figurative porcelain, particularly bird and animal studies produced throughout the West Germany era. Long-tailed tit figures are sought after by collectors due to their distinctive form and hand-finished surface.

The condition is very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or visible repairs observed. Surfaces show normal age-related wear consistent with vintage porcelain.
