Lladro 5122 August Moon Japanese Tea Ceremony Woman Retired Porcelain Figurine Spain Collector Decor

This vintage Lladró porcelain figurine is model 01005122, titled “August Moon.” The composition depicts a kneeling Japanese woman wearing a floral kimono and holding a small tea bowl during a traditional tea ceremony.

Made in Spain from glazed porcelain, the sculpture features a muted lavender kimono with blue floral decoration, a pale pink obi and carefully modelled hair. A dark grey tea vessel, small lidded container and moulded serving tray complete the ceremonial scene. The glossy pastel finish and detailed folds are characteristic of Lladró’s decorative porcelain production.

August Moon was designed by sculptor Vicente Martínez and introduced in 1982. The model was retired in 1993 and is also recorded under the Spanish title “Ceremonial del Té.” It forms part of Lladró’s Asian-inspired range and carries the blue Lladró Hand Made in Spain backstamp beneath the base.

The figurine appears to be in good vintage condition, with no obvious chips, cracks or repairs visible in the supplied photographs. The tea bowl remains securely positioned in the woman’s hands, and the smaller sculpted elements appear present. Minor marks and wear beneath the unglazed base are consistent with age and previous display. No original box is included.
