The Falconer D6533 Large Character Jug English Toby Mug Hunting Theme Vintage Ceramic Royal Doulton

This large character jug is the Falconer model, numbered D6533 and produced by Royal Doulton during the mid-to-late twentieth century. The sculptural design shows the falconer with his bird of prey perched on the handle, rendered in detailed relief and decorated in hand-applied ceramic glazes characteristic of Doulton’s character series.

The jug is made from molded ceramic with defined facial modelling, strong glaze colour and crisp texturing to the falcon and clothing. The underside carries the Royal Doulton mark together with the Falconer identification and associated registration numbers. This example is the large size and remains in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
