This Royal Albert porcelain figurine depicts The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe Knitting from the stories of Beatrix Potter. Made in England in 1989, it belongs to Royal Albert’s licensed series of English storybook characters.
The mouse is shown seated and knitting beside a yellow chair, wearing a pale bonnet, blue dress and textured pink shawl. The moulded details are finished with a glossy glaze and softly coloured ceramic decoration.
This design was modelled by David Lyttleton and issued by Royal Albert from 1989 until its discontinuation in 1998. The underside carries the Royal Albert England mark, the full character name, the 1983 F. Warne copyright and the 1989 Royal Albert copyright. Collectors generally identify this printed mark as the BP6a backstamp.
The figurine is in good vintage condition overall. No obvious chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. Minor surface wear and age-related marks may be present. A retail sticker, coloured identification label and handwritten inventory marks remain on the underside. Please examine every photograph for the precise condition.
