This vintage Royal Albert Cottontail figurine was produced in England in 1989 for the licensed Beatrix Potter character collection. It depicts Cottontail seated on a brown chair, wearing a pale blue dress and holding a cream-coloured cup.
The figure is made from glazed ceramic with a glossy, hand-decorated finish. Moulded facial features, painted whiskers, shaded clothing and wood-effect detailing on the chair recreate the character in the traditional style associated with Royal Albert’s Beatrix Potter series.
The underside carries the Royal Albert England backstamp, the character name “Cottontail,” the F. Warne & Co. 1985 copyright and the Royal Albert Ltd 1989 copyright. This BP6a version was modelled by David Lyttleton, issued in 1989 and retired in 1996.
The figurine is in good vintage condition with minor surface and base wear consistent with age and previous display. No obvious chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. Small inventory stickers and handwritten marks remain on the underside. The original box is not included.
