This fine bone china figurine from Coalport depicts a young boy holding a kite, part of the Faye Whittaker Collection produced as a limited edition of 7500. The piece reflects the soft pastel palette and nostalgic coastal charm characteristic of Whittaker’s artwork, and this example is fully marked on the base with its edition number.

The figurine is crafted in bone china with a glossy glaze, capturing the gentle folds of the clothing and the detailed modelling of the kite. Heights, proportions, and base structure show the traditional Coalport style consistent with mid-1990s production.

Coalport issued the Ready to Fly model in 1994 as part of an effort to translate popular Faye Whittaker illustrations into three-dimensional artworks. These figurines have since become recognised collectibles due to their limited edition runs and faithful sculpting.
