This Lilliput Lane Riverview cottage was produced in 1987 as part of the English Collection: Midlands series. It reflects the architectural style associated with traditional half-timbered cottages from the region, drawing on historic rural homes built from timber frames and rendered panels.

The model features a detailed thatched roof, dark timber framing and a raised garden filled with flowers arranged along a stone border. Textured pathways and hand-painted foliage enhance the sculptural detail typical of early Lilliput Lane pieces. The underside label confirms the model name Riverview along with its release year. The sculpture measures approximately 6 cm in height, 8.5 cm in width and 6.5 cm in depth, with a weight of 155 g.

Research into the Midlands collection shows that Riverview was inspired by the traditional black-and-white cottages found across the region, many of which date back centuries. These homes often stood near rivers or streams, lending names such as Riverview to local dwellings.

The piece is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks or repairs, and includes its original box and deed booklet.
