David Winter Cottage Single Oast 1981 English House Figurine John Hine Hand Painted Collector Decor

David Winter Single Oast 1981 John Hine English Cottage Ornament Hand Painted Kent Oast House Display

This David Winter cottage figurine is the “Single Oast” model, dated 1981 and made in Great Britain by John Hine Ltd. It depicts a traditional English oast house with a round kiln tower, conical tiled roof, cottage section and small garden details.

The piece is handmade and hand painted, with textured brickwork, individually modelled roof tiles, timber-effect walls, floral climbing details and a felt-covered base. The original underside label identifies it as “Single Oast” by David Winter, © 1981 David Winter, made in the studios and workshops of John Hine Ltd, Hampshire, Great Britain.

David Winter Cottages became highly collectible in the late 20th century for their detailed miniature interpretations of British rural buildings. Oast houses are especially associated with hop drying and the historic brewing landscape of Kent and southern England, making this model appealing to collectors of English architecture, village cottages and countryside display pieces.

The item is in vintage condition with age-related surface wear and small display marks visible from previous handling. There appears to be wear or possible small loss around the white top section and the metal-look cowl/weather vane area, as shown in the photos. Please review all images carefully for the most accurate view of the roof, base, label and overall condition.
