This vintage commemorative coronation cup was produced in England by Solian Ware, Soho Pottery Ltd of Cobridge, to mark the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in May 1937. Pieces like this were made as patriotic souvenirs celebrating one of the key royal events of the 20th century.

The cup is crafted in traditional English earthenware pottery with a tall beaker form, finished in a cream glaze. It features the royal portrait medallion and heraldic insignia, with coronation text around the rim. The base carries the Solian Ware backstamp along with the British Potter Manufacturers Federation emblem and “Made in England” marking.
