This is the Royal Doulton Long John Silver large character jug, model D6386, produced in England during the mid-20th century. The jug is crafted in glazed ceramic and represents one of the classic character series created by Doulton’s Stoke-on-Trent potteries.

The sculptural form features the distinctive twisted handle, expressive facial modelling, and deep green cap typical of mid-century Royal Doulton character work. The underside carries the correct printed backstamp and the D6386 model reference used between 1950 and 1960. The piece is hand-painted, with the textured beard and cap pattern showing the characteristic brushwork of the period.

The jug measures 15 cm in height, 19 cm in width, and 13 cm in depth, with a weight of 635 g. It shows no chips, cracks, or repairs. Surfaces remain clean and consistent with expected vintage ceramic production.
