This vintage MS358 wind up table tennis tin toy is a mechanical “Playing Ping Pong” model made in China and presented with its original box and winding key.

The piece measures 23 cm in width, 7 cm in depth and 14 cm in height, with a total weight of approximately 290 grams. It is constructed from lithographed tin and metal components, featuring two articulated players positioned at either end of a detailed green table with central net and printed tournament emblem. The base is marked “MS358 – Made in China.”

When wound with the included key, the internal clockwork mechanism activates alternating paddle movements while the ball oscillates across the table, simulating a rally. This style of novelty mechanical toy became popular in the late 20th century, inspired by earlier mid-century European tin sports toys.

The original illustrated “Playing Ping-Pong” box is included. The set retains its key and shows light surface wear consistent with careful storage and age.

Condition is good vintage condition with minor paint wear and light marks visible upon close inspection. Mechanism operates.
