This Royal Doulton “Wilfred Carries The Picnic” figurine, model DBH34, was produced in 2000 as part of the Brambly Hedge collection inspired by the illustrations of Jill Barklem. Made and hand decorated in England, the piece represents a later millennium-era issue from the series.

The figure depicts Wilfred standing with a wicker picnic basket lined with a red and white cloth, dressed in a blue jacket and red scarf. Hand-painted detailing is visible in the textured basket weave, facial features, and layered clothing. Brambly Hedge figures were originally introduced in the early 1980s following the popularity of the illustrated book series first published in 1980. The condition is very good vintage condition. No visible chips, cracks, or restoration are observed. Light base wear consistent with display is present.
