The piece is crafted from ceramic with a painted finish in soft grey, cream, pink, and blue tones. The rabbits are modelled with small clothing details and hold a central rounded form that functions as the removable lid. The clock face motif is integrated into the body of the teapot, using Roman numerals, and the handles are shaped with scroll-like curves typical of Leonardo’s decorative style.

Leonardo’s decorative teapots from this period were released as non-functional items, intended purely for display rather than use. The base carries the original Leonardo mark alongside the standard notice stating the item is for decorative purposes only. This example remains in overall good condition with no major wear noted.
