Vintage Copper Lustre Pitcher Blue Band Ceramic Jug Victorian Style Decorative Collectible
Vintage Copper Lustre Jug Blue Band Ceramic Pitcher Victorian Style Collectable Decor
This vintage ceramic pitcher features a striking copper lustre glaze combined with a deep cobalt blue band, decorated with traditional stencil-style motifs. The piece reflects a Victorian revival style, likely produced in the mid 20th century. The maker is unmarked.
The jug measures approximately 14 cm in height, 15 cm in width and 11 cm in depth, with a weight of 475 grams. It is made from ceramic and finished with a reflective copper lustre glaze covering most of the body, contrasted by a bold blue band around the upper section. The curved handle and shaped pouring spout enhance its classic form.
Copper lustreware has its origins in the 19th century and remained popular throughout the 20th century as decorative ceramics. Pieces featuring coloured bands, especially cobalt blue, are particularly sought after due to their strong visual contrast and display appeal.
The condition is good vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. There are no visible cracks or major structural damage.
