This vintage Royal Doulton Buttercup figurine is model HN2309, designed by Peggy Davies and first copyrighted in 1963. It depicts an elegantly dressed woman holding the edge of her flowing skirt while securing her wide-brimmed hat with her raised hand.

Made in England from fine bone china, the figure is finished in softly blended green, yellow, cream and brown tones. The sculpted folds of the full skirt, detailed facial features, braided hair and glossy hand-decorated surface reflect Royal Doulton’s established tradition of producing decorative lady figures.

Royal Doulton introduced its early lady figures during the twentieth century, with named designs becoming a significant part of the company’s collectible output. Buttercup HN2309 was modelled by Peggy Davies and remained in production for several decades, making it recognisable among collectors of Royal Doulton Pretty Ladies.

The figurine is in good pre-owned vintage condition. No obvious chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. Minor surface marks, light shelf wear and age-related signs may be present, particularly around the underside and base rim. The original box is not included.
