This Royal Doulton Mr Toadflax figurine, model DBH10, was issued in 1983 as part of the Brambly Hedge Gift Collection, based on the illustrations by Jill Barklem. The figure portrays Mr Toadflax seated comfortably, holding a small book, dressed in striped shirt sleeves and waistcoat with hand-painted detailing. The glaze has a consistent high gloss finish, highlighting the textured fur, facial features, and the patchwork cushion behind him.
