This vintage Royal Doulton The Old Balloon Seller figurine HN1315 depicts a seated street vendor surrounded by a colourful arrangement of balloons and a basket of flowers. The figure was designed by Leslie Harradine and first introduced in 1929.

Made in England from glazed ceramic, the figure has a hand-decorated multicoloured finish with moulded clothing, facial features, balloons and basket details. Deep green, burgundy, orange, yellow and purple tones give the piece a distinctive display presence.

The Old Balloon Seller became one of Royal Doulton’s most recognisable street vendor figures. The design remained in production from 1929 until 1998, reflecting its lasting popularity among Royal Doulton collectors. The underside carries the Royal Doulton lion and crown factory mark together with the title and HN1315 model number.

The figure presents well for its age. No obvious chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. Light age-related surface and base wear may be present. Protective green felt has been applied around the underside edges. No original box is shown or included.
