This Royal Albert “Benjamin Ate a Lettuce Leaf” figurine was produced in 1992 as part of the official Beatrix Potter bone china collection. The model is based on the original illustrations by Beatrix Potter and manufactured in England by Royal Albert under licence from F. Warne & Co.

The figure portrays Benjamin Bunny holding a green lettuce leaf and wearing his brown jacket, with a small pink flower detail on the lapel. Crafted in fine bone china, the piece features a high-gloss glaze and hand-finished detailing to the fur texture, facial expression and garment folds. The underside bears the Royal Albert England backstamp together with the full title “Benjamin ate a lettuce leaf,” copyright marks for Beatrix Potter and F. Warne & Co., and the 1992 production date.

Royal Albert’s Beatrix Potter series, introduced in the late twentieth century, translated the original storybook characters into collectible ceramic figures. The 1992 dated backstamp confirms this example as an early licensed production from the English-made period, which remains particularly desirable among collectors of the series.
