This vintage Price & Kensington Ye Olde Cottage teapot was made in England and designed as a traditional thatched country house. Its square architectural form, fitted roof lid and sculpted exterior place it within the maker’s collectible cottage ware range.

The glazed earthenware body features moulded brickwork, timber details, paned windows, a front door and textured foliage. Brown, cream, yellow and green decoration defines the cottage exterior, while the branch-form handle and integrated spout complete the novelty design.

Price Bros and Kensington Pottery were combined in 1962 to form Price & Kensington Potteries in Staffordshire. The company became known for accessible English earthenware, household ceramics and novelty teapots. The impressed Ye Olde Village wording and Price & Kensington England backstamp support an estimated 1960s–1970s production period.

The teapot is in vintage condition with widespread age-related glaze crazing, including visible crazing on the underside. There is light surface wear, minor staining and small marks consistent with age and previous use. No major chip or repair is evident in the supplied photographs. The lid is present. It has not been tested for liquid retention and is best considered collectible display ware unless checked by the buyer.
