Vintage Price Kensington Post Box Teapot English Ceramic Red Black Royal Mail Kitchen Collectible

Vintage Price Kensington Post Box Teapot English Ceramic Red Black Royal Mail Kitchen Collectible

Price Kensington Post Box Teapot Vintage English Ceramic Red Black Royal Mail Collectable Kitchen

This vintage Price & Kensington novelty teapot is shaped as a traditional British red post box, complete with a black base, raised postal details and a removable domed lid. Its distinctive form combines functional English teaware with a recognisable Royal Mail-inspired design.

Made in England from glazed ceramic, the teapot has a vivid red body contrasted by a glossy black plinth-style base. The front is moulded with a posting slot, collection panel, door details and postal insignia, while the curved handle and elongated spout are integrated into the cylindrical structure. The original Price & Kensington Made in England label remains attached to the body.

Price & Kensington developed from the Staffordshire pottery tradition and became associated with practical English teaware and decorative novelty designs. Character and architectural teapots became particularly popular with collectors during the late twentieth century, with British cultural subjects such as cottages, guards, landmarks and post boxes forming a recognisable collecting category. Comparable examples are currently described by sellers as vintage English post office or letterbox teapots.

The teapot appears to be in good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, minor glaze irregularities and rubbing around the unglazed underside rim. No obvious major chips, structural cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. The lid fits into the body and shows light wear around its inner seating rim. Please inspect all photographs carefully because they form an important part of the condition description.
