This vintage Panda Drummer wind-up tin toy is a classic key-operated mechanical figure made in China and presented with its original box and winding key.

Standing approximately 10.5 cm tall, with a width of 8.5 cm and depth of 5.5 cm, the toy weighs around 80 grams. It is constructed from lithographed tin metal and features a colourful red uniform, detailed drum graphics and articulated drumsticks.

The wind-up mechanism is operated via the included key. When activated, the panda moves its arms to strike the drum in a rhythmic motion typical of late 20th century reproduction tin toys. The base is marked “Made in China.”

The original illustrated “Panda Drummer Clockwork” box is included. Please note the printed phrase on the box (“Amusing Gay”) reflects period wording typical of vintage toy packaging and refers to “cheerful” in older usage.

Tin drummer toys were originally popular in early to mid-20th century Germany and Japan. During the 1980s, similar nostalgic mechanical designs were reproduced in China for the collector market.

Condition is good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age. Colours remain vibrant and mechanism functions.
