This vintage Justine Rose teapot is a compact white ceramic piece decorated with vivid red and orange roses, green foliage and a matching floral design on the removable lid.
The teapot has a rounded body, curved handle, projecting spout and domed lid with a small integral knob. Its floral decoration appears to have been transfer applied beneath a glossy glaze, while a narrow metallic-toned line accents the lid opening. The underside carries a Justine Rose floral backstamp matching the decoration.
Rose-patterned domestic ceramics were widely produced for traditional and decorative kitchen settings during the later twentieth century. The Justine Rose name is clearly visible on this example, but no reliable manufacturer history or exact production date has been verified. It is therefore described conservatively without attributing it to a specific factory.
This is a pre-owned decorative teapot with age-related wear. There are visible chips and glaze loss around the end of the spout, wear and small losses around the lid and opening, rubbing to the metallic-toned trim and occasional surface marks.
