Delft Blue Pig Money Box Vintage Holland Hand Painted Windmill Floral Ceramic Collectable Decor

This vintage Delft-style piggy bank is a hand-painted ceramic money box decorated in traditional blue and white. The rounded pig form features floral motifs across both sides, a Dutch windmill landscape and blue painted details on the ears, feet, face and curled tail.

The piece is made from glazed ceramic and includes a metal coin slot along the top of the body. Fine overall glaze crazing is visible across the white surface, contributing to its aged appearance. The underside has an oval access opening and carries the handwritten wording “Hand Painted Delfts Blue Holland 55.”

Blue and white pottery has long been associated with Dutch decorative ceramics, particularly designs featuring windmills, stylised flowers and traditional landscape imagery. During the twentieth century, Delft-style souvenir and household pieces were produced by numerous Dutch workshops, and unbranded examples should not be attributed to a specific historic Delft factory without a recognised manufacturer’s mark.

The piggy bank remains in fair vintage condition. The removable stopper from the underside is missing, leaving the access opening uncovered. Fine glaze crazing is visible throughout, together with age-related marks, minor surface wear and residue around the unglazed feet and opening.
