Crown Windsor 4809 Cottage Teapot Vintage Thatched Roof English Pottery Stone House Kitchenware Collectible

This vintage Crown Windsor model 4809 teapot was made in England as part of the Croft Cottage range, most likely during the 1980s. Its rounded architectural form represents a traditional English stone cottage beneath a fitted thatched-roof lid.

The glazed ceramic body is decorated with moulded brickwork, diamond-paned blue windows, a green cottage door, flowering plants and textured straw-effect roof details. The curved handle and raised spout are integrated into the cottage structure, while the removable lid carries a chimney-form finial.

Croft Cottage ware belongs to the British tradition of architectural and novelty pottery, in which practical tea wares were modelled as cottages, buildings and familiar domestic subjects. Comparable examples identify this form as model 4809 and associate it with Crown Windsor or Crown Winsor production in England.

The teapot remains in good vintage display condition. Age-related crazing is visible, particularly across the underside, together with surface wear, light discolouration and small production irregularities. No obvious chips, major cracks or repairs can be identified in the supplied photographs. The teapot has not been tested for liquid retention and is offered primarily as a vintage collectible and display piece.
