Vintage Cottage Butter Dish Price Kensington English Ceramic Cheese Keeper House Cloche Platter Cottageware

Price Kensington Cottage Ware Cheese Dish English Pottery Covered Butter Cloche Platter Kitchenalia Collectible

This vintage Price Kensington Cottage Ware covered dish was made in England and designed for serving or storing butter and cheese.

The two-piece ceramic set consists of a rectangular serving platter and a cottage-shaped cover with a thatched roof and chimney finial. Moulded windows, doors, brickwork and climbing foliage are finished in brown, cream, green and burgundy tones. A small ventilation opening is incorporated into the chimney.

Price Kensington developed within the Staffordshire pottery industry and became known for practical British tableware and novelty Cottage Ware designs. These pieces recreated traditional English country buildings through moulded architectural details and individually applied colour. The underside carries the Price Kensington mark, Made in England wording and registered design number 845007.

The dish is in vintage condition with age-related glaze crazing, light staining and surface wear. Minor glaze and colour wear can be seen around the platter edges and raised details. Both the cottage-shaped cover and matching rectangular platter are present. No obvious major chips, cracks or repairs can be seen in the supplied photographs. Please inspect every photograph carefully because the images form an important part of the condition description.

Please review all photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions before purchasing. We want you to be 💯 confident with your order.
