This British ceramic birdhouse teapot was produced by The Teapottery and features a sculptural garden bird box design decorated with blue tit figures. Its timber-effect walls, tiled roof and branch-shaped handle create the appearance of a rustic wooden nesting box.

The teapot is made from glazed ceramic with moulded and hand-painted decoration. One blue tit forms part of the removable roof lid, while another projects from the front nesting entrance. The branch handle, wood-grain surface, orange roof tiles and softly shaded green and brown glazes add depth to the design. The original The Teapottery hanging label and Made in Britain sticker remain present.

The Teapottery developed from the Yorkshire pottery established by Martin and Judy Bibby in 1978. The company became known for highly sculptural novelty teapots and adopted the Swineside Teapottery name in 1986 before production moved to Leyburn in North Yorkshire. Bird and cottage forms remain associated with this British studio pottery tradition.

The teapot appears to remain in good pre-owned condition overall. No obvious major chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. Light surface marks, minor glaze irregularities and age-related wear may be present. The original hanging label and Made in Britain sticker show some handling and age wear.
