Staffordshire Style Cat Figurines Pair Black White Crackle Glaze Blue Bow English Mantel Decor

Vintage Staffordshire Style Cats Pair Black White Pottery Figures Blue Ribbon Hearth Ornaments

This coordinated pair of vintage Staffordshire-style ceramic cat figurines features two seated cats designed to face one another. Their black and white colouring is finished with cobalt blue bows and hand-painted facial details.

Both hollow ceramic figures have a pale crackle-glazed surface with moulded fur texture, raised tails and painted yellow eyes. Small differences in facial painting, markings, glaze and form give each cat an individual character while maintaining a balanced paired appearance.

Staffordshire-style animal figures continue the tradition of decorative pottery once displayed on English mantelpieces and hearths. These examples are unmarked, so their exact maker and place of production cannot be confirmed. They are presented as later vintage decorative pieces rather than verified Victorian Staffordshire antiques.

The pair displays widespread age-related crazing across the glaze, along with surface marks, minor paint wear and substantial rubbing, discolouration and scuffing around the bases. Small firing or ventilation holes on the reverse are original manufacturing features. No obvious major chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. Please examine every image for the individual condition and hand-painted differences between the two figures.
