This vintage NAO porcelain figurine depicts a courting couple in period dress, with a seated lady holding a parasol and a gentleman leaning towards her. Comparable documented examples date the design to approximately 1984.

The group is formed from glazed porcelain and finished with a restrained palette of grey, pale pink, blue and white. Details include the lady’s bonnet, flower, suspended parasol, ruffled skirt and the gentleman’s formal tailcoat. Moulded foliage and stonework create the naturalistic base.

NAO was produced in Spain as part of the Lladró group’s porcelain tradition. The underside carries the printed NAO mark with Lladró and “Hand Made in Spain” wording. The refined figures, glossy glaze and pastel decoration are characteristic of the company’s late twentieth-century romantic groups.

The figurine appears to be in very good vintage condition, with no obvious chips, cracks or repairs visible in the supplied photographs. Minor surface and base wear consistent with age may be present. No original box is included.
