This vintage porcelain bird figurine was produced by Goebel in West Germany and forms part of the company’s mid-20th-century decorative animal range. The piece depicts a parrot-like bird perched on a stylised branch with foliage, reflecting Goebel’s characteristic naturalistic sculpting approach.

The figurine is made of porcelain and hand decorated in soft white and grey tones, with a contrasting yellow crest and subtle feather detailing across the body and wings. The branch base is finished with green glazed leaves and textured bark, providing visual balance and stability. The underside bears the Goebel W. Germany mark, confirming its production origin.

Goebel, founded in Germany in 1871, is internationally recognised for its figurative porcelain, particularly pieces produced during the West Germany period. Bird figurines from this era remain popular among collectors due to their sculptural quality, hand-finished surfaces, and limited production compared to later mass-market designs.

The condition is good vintage condition overall. There is a small paint loss on the front underside where the figurine rests on the surface. This area is visible in the photographs and does not affect the structural integrity or display of the piece.
