This porcelain robin bird figurine was produced by W. Goebel in West Germany and belongs to the Hummel-associated series of naturalistic bird studies. The figure represents a European robin, known in German as “Rotkehlchen,” a classic subject within Goebel’s mid-20th-century wildlife designs.

The figurine is made of hand-decorated porcelain and depicts the robin perched on a sculpted branch base. Compared to smaller robin models, this example is larger and heavier, with more pronounced body volume and deeper surface modelling. The decoration features matte and lightly glazed finishes, with detailed feather texture in brown tones, a warm orange-red breast, and subtle cream highlights.

The underside bears a Goebel W. Germany factory mark along with an original paper label identifying the model as “Robin,” confirming authenticity and production origin. Goebel robin figures were produced as decorative collectibles rather than limited editions and were often displayed as part of coordinated bird collections.
