The roof-shaped lid is finished in layered brown and yellow tones and includes a chimney-shaped grip. Its original woven wicker-style carrying handle remains attached to the ceramic side mounts.

Price Bros was a Staffordshire pottery manufacturer associated with the cottage ware designs that became especially popular in mid-20th-century British kitchens. The company later became Price and Kensington Potteries in 1962, making the impressed Price Bros mark useful for identifying this as an earlier production piece.

The barrel is in vintage condition with age-related glaze crazing, minor surface wear and small areas of glaze or colour wear visible around some edges. The removable lid and handle are present. No obvious major cracks or repairs can be seen in the supplied photographs. Please examine every image closely, particularly the base, lid edges and handle attachments, as the photographs form an important part of the condition description.

Please review all photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions before purchasing.
